How to read this map
A research view of the AI industry, with company identity, financial evidence and data freshness kept separate.
- 01
Valuations belong to legal companies. Products, model families and acquired divisions do not receive invented standalone valuations.
- 02
Funding, lifetime capital, private valuation, public market cap, acquisition consideration and compute commitments are different measures. Native currencies are preserved. USD comparisons use a supplied USD value; records without one are grouped by currency.
- 03
Every financial value has a source, measure and as-of date. A value older than 12 months is flagged. Confidence reflects the source; age reflects freshness.
- 04
Companies have one primary layer and one category. Industry, business-function, consumer and embodied-system groups keep different classification axes distinct; tags provide additional context. Data spans the stack. Direct relationships appear only inside a selected company, so the map stays readable.
